Course Final Reflections
Throughout this course I have been tested on how I learn as a learner and how that can help me become a better teacher. This course has helped guide me in very practical ways that I can become and apply the things from this class as a teacher. I believe my favorite assignment was the Inquiry project. This is my favorite because of how it is my own and is not restricted in what I can learn and get out of it. It also is something that I can use and change and develop as I proceed to be a teacher.
This course has been a constant reminder to take my learning and make it for myself. I have never been part of a class where I am guided to finish and do assignments in ways that are directly valuable to me. I will be using these methods because I have been able to learn what they are, how they are beneficial, and how I can apply them to my teaching directly.
Reading and comprehension I have learned throughout this class is so much more than the act of reading and regurgitating the information. I have learned how it is different for each learner. Each individual has their own previous knowledge and their own unique viewpoint. It is not fair to teach in only one way and expect everyone to gain and learn from it. I have learned how to teach with each individual's learning needs taken into account and allow for their own creative process to happen. This class has helped me in my creative learning process journey that I hope to continue on.
Dear Anastasia, carry on what you have experienced in our course. I am proud of your achievements!
ReplyDeleteYour learning has to be meaningful for you and so, too, needs to be meaningful to your own students. You will find ways in which to connect to students and find that relevancy in authentic ways!
Best Wishes to you in your teaching, learning, and coaching career.
Continue to believe in yourself and your awesomeness!
Appreciatively,
